I am a Family Physician in New Hampshire. In 2006 I left my faculty practice and joined a large employed multispecialty group where I work part-time and have more flexibility for me, my family and exploring alternatives to the standard practice in my specialty. I no longer have my own practice, rather I fill in for people and help practices out when providers are on vacation, when there is an illness or unexpected absence, when schedules are cut back during practice transitions to the EMR and any other reason that they need an extra hand. I spend most of my time in Family Medicine offices and as a hospitalist and also fill in for the Internists and Pediatricians. I no longer practice obstetrics. My areas of greatest professional interest are Global Health and Health Care reform.
